Elizabeth: My experience with mental illness and domestic violence is: My sons dad was mentally, phyically and emotionally abusive. He tore me down, stripping me of my confidence and selfworth. For almost two years I was completely crippled emotionally. I couldn't function, I couldn't take care of my son. I was gone. Then after awhile I found God and I started to heal and now I'm able to handle life a bit easier.

Amber: My step dad was extremely verbally and physcially abusive durning my childhood. Additionally, my mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness when I was 9 years old. Losing her in bits and peices while losing myself under the chaotic lifestyle my stepdad created was devastating. My faith in God in relationship with him is why I have become who I am today.

We are both survivors who have had a lot of help and now its our turn to give back and help others. We are photographers on a mission to not only capture beautiful photographs, but also to spread awareness for domestic violence and mental illness and to empower those who need strengthening in mind, body and spirit.

Our photography: Photography is something we really enjoy doing because it allows us to be involved in and celebrate the many joyous occasions life can present. While also allowing us to use our creativity. We enjoy creating photos that are unique and classic. From new born pictures, to graduation, to engagement, to family and for those who are interested a unique and out-of-the-box idea that expresses your individualism and inner nerd. WE WANT TO DO IT ALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!! This is a celebration of you and where you are at or how far you have come in life.

Spreading awareness for Mental illness and Domestic violence: We want to also put a stop to the stigma of mental illness and help put an end to domestic violence. Amber and myself have experienced both of these oursevles and have overcome the trials it has presented us. Through our experiences we have learned how the challenges of living in and with these overwhelming circumstances can be mind numbing and crippling. Due to this we want to work with people in these situations to empower them to take control and reach a healthy mind, body and spirit. Our efforts include implimenting and allowing access to those in need of: yoga, expressive dance, support groups, bible study and supportive relationships.
